Safeguarding
Everyone deserves to feel safe here
We are committed to protecting the welfare of every child and adult who learns, worships or volunteers with us.
Our commitments
Safer recruitment
All teachers and volunteers working with children complete an enhanced DBS check, references and safeguarding training before starting.
Two-adult principle
Children are never left alone with a single adult behind closed doors. Classes are supervised and attendance is recorded.
Code of conduct
Staff follow a clear code of conduct, including no physical punishment, appropriate communication and no private contact with pupils online.
Data protection
Personal information is handled under UK GDPR. It is collected only when needed, stored securely and shared only where the law requires.
Raising a concern
- 1
If a child or adult is in immediate danger, call 999.
- 2
Otherwise, speak to our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) as soon as possible.
- 3
Record what you saw or were told, in the person’s own words, with date and time. Do not investigate yourself.
- 4
The DSL will assess the concern and, where needed, refer to Bromley Children’s Social Care or the police.
- 5
Concerns about a member of staff or volunteer are referred to the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).
